Beginning today, December 1st, and every day through December 31, I'll be sharing a funding opportunity. This month, I'm focusing on making information accessible and highlighting resources that can help nonprofits grow, stabilize, innovate, and expand their work. Too often, organizations operate in isolation, competing for the same dollars and carrying the same burdens alone. But the truth is this: the sector is stronger when information is shared, not guarded.
My goal this month is simple:
- To highlight what collaboration can look like.
- To encourage organizations to support each other rather than compete.
- To emphasize the impact of passing it forward.
- To remind leaders that generosity starts with sharing what we know.
There is room for every mission. There is funding for every vision. There is an impact waiting for every organization willing to step into it.
And, for those who know me, I keep it real. While collaboration is the ideal, not every nonprofit is interested in sharing, partnering, or building community. That's okay. They've shown their cards, and you can simply move on. The sector will always have organizations that are open and ready to work together, and those are the ones worth investing your time and energy into.
If a funding opportunity isn't a fit for your organization, pass it forward. Share it with someone who can use it. If you learn something valuable, pass that forward, too.
This is how we shift the culture, one shared resource, one connection, one moment of passing it forward at a time.
Here's to a month filled with possibilities, collaboration, and open doors. May December remind us all that the real impact happens when we lift each other up and release anything that chooses not to grow with us.
